Rapid Solicitors sponsors Masters Football Finals at the M.E.N. Arena

The Rapid Solicitors’ name was much in evidence on Sky Sports 1 during the Masters Football Grand Final, at the M.E.N. arena, Manchester.  Rapid had sponsored all 12 teams in the Central and Yorkshire regional events with Leeds United and Notts County going on to compete in the Grand Final.  Masters Football comprises several regional competitions leading up to a final contested by each regional winner. It’s now an annual fixture on the footballing calendar. The tournament is open to current or retired footballers over the age of 35 and they must have played professionally for the club they represent in the Masters event. Many legends turned out, such as Manchester United’s Roy Keane, Liverpool’s Patrick Berger and Hull’s very own Dean Windass, who represented Sheffield United, as Hull City was absent from this year’s tournament.  The Final was won by Glasgow Rangers with Leeds United as runners-up.  Darren Huckerby of Leeds United won the Golden Boot after some class finishing.  Adam Benson, Masters Football event organiser said “the talent on display is improving year after year as the fitness levels of our professional footballers improves.  The event is also a shop window for many out-of-contract footballers without a professional team and there have been many contracts awarded on the strength of their performances in the Masters.  The most notable was that of a 1 year 1 million pound contract for Rob Lee with Newcastle United.  You’ve seen out there tonight, there are still many that can perform at the top level.” 
Rapid Solicitors recently raised over £300 for various charities, including Help for Heroes, with the sale of signed Masters football team shirts.
