£9,000 compensation for store shopper
Charles Bailey was entering his local supermarket when he was knocked to the ground and badly injured when the store’s automatic doors closed on him. He took his claim for compensation to Rapid Solicitors. A spokesman for Rapid said: “Often, being struck by those types of doors and being knocked to the ground doesn’t cause an awful lot of harm. However, occasionally, an awkward landing leads to significant physical damage to a person and this is what happened here. Our client suffered a severe shoulder injury. Once we had gathered all the medical evidence and witness statements, the Defendant’s admitted liability, without the need for actual court proceedings. We then fought on behalf of our client for the right amount of compensation for his injuries and other losses and how he would be affected for the rest of his life.” Mr Bailey said: “I had to have an operation on my shoulder and it worsened an already existing condition. Fortunately, Rapid arranged for it all to be done by a top UK surgeon and used the best orthopaedic and shoulder expert to write an assessment on my injuries. After that, they looked after me with really well with courses of physiotherapy, from a private health company. I can’t praise them enough.”
