Cyclist wins £2,900 after car collision
Bill Masterson was cycling along a main road through a roundabout when he was struck from behind by a car driving up on his left. He was knocked off his cycle and suffered a whiplash injury to his neck, an injury to the base of his spine and grazing to his body. He was left with anxiety about cycling, which extended to driving a car and also being carried as a passenger. He made a claim for accident injury compensation with Rapid Solicitors. A source at Rapid said: “Our client did absolutely nothing wrong and was in the correct position on the road. The car driver was simply careless and didn’t see him. We gathered the witness evidence and persuaded the other side to admit liability. We valued our client’s injuries, not just for the physical element but also the psychological effects of the accident. We instructed both an orthopaedic expert and a psychologist to examine our client and prepare the medical evidence to gain him his rightful amount of compensation. We also arranged for his private physiotherapy treatments to be paid for by the Defendants.”
